this made a lovely visit to my email today.
and when i read it i was so pleased.
why, you ask?
because just this morning before i left for class i looked at the new poster on my wall and thought,
'ashley - remember to be strong and of a good courage.'
that's what i taught every single day for four weeks this summer.
here, and here, and here, and here.
but what i realized is i wasn't there to teach, i was there to learn.
and i grew this summer.
more than i've ever grown in my whole life.
i didn't even know it was possible.
i learned to have faith, to be courageous, to stand strong.
i learned to trust in the Lord with everything we have because He knows the best way.
i learned to be a daughter of a King and live like it.
and i knew these things before, but i act like it now.
and when it's hard i try to remember to still be strong.
