scripture of the day.

"surely the Lord hath commanded us to do this thing,
and shall we not be diligent
in keeping the commandments of the Lord?"

[diligent:  constant in effort to accomplish something;
attentive and persistent in doing something.]

be more diligent.

my favorite part in that definition of diligent is that it results in accomplishing something. all too often i think we do things because we're told to and forget to look at the end result. whether the accomplishment be reading scriptures daily or saying more fervent prayers it is an accomplishment and it ought to be recognized and reflected upon. if we continue to do this we will ultimately accomplish the most important thing of all - eternal life with our father in heaven. thanks for this post ash. as usual, i love it and appreciate it more than you know.
