so i understand the reasons behind memorial day.
and i am truly grateful for all those who have given their lives for this country.
but the thing i love most about memorial day weekend is the memories made.
it happens every year.
and this year was no different.
i had efy training all day.
and then i got to play with bff kayla.
i love that no matter how long it has been since we last saw each other it seems like it was just yesterday.
we pick up right where we left off.
and man, she makes me laugh so hard.
we played tennis. technically.
and summer slurpee run afterwards.
nap. pot roast. singing at country care.
then we had an epic walter and lecheminant family gathering.
we played games and had root beer floats.
"rutherford f. strongmeyer"
then addison, marlee and i played mario kart.
mom laughed at how bad i am.
one day i'll come out on top.
it began early with setting up flags.
back to bed for an hour.
then shopping and prepping for...
loading, unloading, packing up everything.
five mile pass.
and a wonderful time in the desert.
home for a barbecue and more bananagrams.
it all was amazing.
it couldn't have gotten much better.
make a memory today.
and tell your family and friends you love them.
[pictures to come soon...we got some good ones.]
